Jo met Guz II when they were busking in Parc Guell, Barcelona and was captivated by both their music and their particular brand of absurd theatricality. This inspired the short film script, Revenir, starring the masked trio as heroes in a playful, poignant narrative and landscape of colour, set to their track, Safina. Jean Cocteau meets the Marx Brothers or a surreal Hard Day’s Night, Revenir will be a short silent film involving live action and animation.
A collaboration with Bitterblue Productions and a filming trip to Guz II’s hometown of Rennes, Brittany, resulted in music videos for Cuzco and Tiopique.
Revenir is yet to be brought into production. Meantime, Guz II continue their ‘rock de rue’ and released their first album in 2014.
